Squash coach by winter and tennis coach by spring, Paul Assaiante’s midas touch in both disciplines at Trinity landed him co-Coach of the Year in the New England Small College Athletic Conference. Assaiante led the Trinity men’s tennis team to a 13-3 record in the NESCAC last year (Trinity’s second consecutive conference title) and reached the conference tournament finals before being upset by Depauw.
Trinity’s tennis team was also invited to the NCAA Division III Team Tournament where they reached the third round before being stopped by Middlebury.
The Assaiante-led men’s tennis Bantams have won nearly 72% of their dual matches, to go along with his dominant squash teams rolling along at a 96% clip—including 185 consecutive wins over 10 years
