Simon Parke won the 1999 S.G. Cowan U.S. Open in stunning style. On back-to-back nights, the Englishman beat Peter Nicol and Jonathon Power in five-game matches. Parke, after reaching world No. 3, retired in 2006 and is now married with one daughter. He coaches at Chapel Allerton Lawn Tennis & Squash Club, is the head coach of the Leeds University men’s and women’s teams and, in 2014, won the British 35+ for the second time.
