US SQUASH officially announced the recipients of the 2012-2013 US Squash Scholar Athlete Awards, given to high school student athletes who achieved a Grade Point Average of 3.5 in school and participated in at least four US Squash accredited events.
US Squash recognized 248 scholar athletes who participated in the junior squash season during the 2012-2013 academic year. Scholar athletes came from public, private and boarding schools. In addition, twelve student athletes were recognized as scholar athletes in all four years of high school.
All scholar athletes were also invited to attend the 2013 Delaware Investments U.S Open Squash Championships on Sunday evening, October 13, in Philadelphia, PA, where they were acknowledged in a special presentation on the glass show court. The application for the 2013-2014 Scholar Athlete Award will be available in Spring 2014.
