HEAD Cyano2 115

Screen Shot 2014-09-24 at 4.24.52 PMBefore you go running away from the HEAD Cyano2 115 thinking to yourself, “Waaaaaay too light for me,” take a deep breath and pick the thing up. This neon yellow stick may say it’s 115g, but throw some strings in it and you’ll find it closer to 150g!

HEAD is perhaps best known for its open throated racquets, but the closed throat on the Cyano2 115 is still very stiff which translates into solid feel for the ball. And it’s head heavy balance not only adds to that critical component of playing a short game, but it also helps to generate plenty of power.

Despite sporting half its weight in the top 35% of the frame, the Cyano2 115 swings effortlessly. The open string pattern, with only 12 mains and 17 crosses, means more bite on the ball too.

As with all HEAD racquets, this one came to us strung with 16 gauge threads. Our testers prefer thinner stuff and, if you opt for 17 or 18 gauge string, you’ll find the weight reduced a bit.

You can find all you the technical details about HEAD racquets on their squash website (www.head.com/squash). There you can read about YouTek™ (the hybrid-composite structure in the frame for improved shock absorption, etc).”
