The team that will represent the United States at the 2008 World Junior Squash Championships in Switzerland, July 27-August 7, was finalized at the Meadow Mill Athletic Club in Baltimore, Maryland. With Todd Harrity (PA) and Alex Domenick (PA) having already secured the top two slots, six players competed to see who would round out the team, coached by Martin Heath and Adam Hamill.
Contested concurrently with the U.S. Junior Silver Championships, the players were split into two groups, with the top two from each group advancing to the semifinals. Adam Perkiomaki (OR), Thomas Mattsson (PA), Matt Domenick (PA) and Chris Hanson (NY) emerged from their respective groups, with Mattsson clinching the No. 3 spot on the team with a 3-2 win over Domenick in the final. The four semifinalists, along with Harrity and Alex Domenick, will be joined in Zurich by Nick Sisodia (IL) and Clay Blackiston (CT), who will round out the squad that will be representing the United States in the individual draw during the week prior to the World Junior Team Championships.
