All eyes were on Jansher Khan as he began his comeback against Scott Handley.

The much-anticipated return of the legendary Jansher Khan was brilliant…for a game. Playing in the Anscombe & Ringland London Open nine years after leaving the game, Khan’s 38 years showed after winning the first game of his opening round with England’s Scott Handley. Handley, with eight PSA titles to his name (in stark contrast to Khan’s 99), weathered the storm and came away with a 9-11, 11-7, 11-6, 11-0, win.

After the match, Khan reflected on his comeback by saying, “I am very happy with the way I played, but three weeks is not enough training. I need two or three months.” As for Handley, his post-match feelings were more succinct—“I feel relieved.”

Stay tuned as the comeback of Khan may continue later in the season.
