The Deroy Sportsmanship Award is presented each year at the US Junior Closed Championships (Gold). The award goes to one male and one female high school senior, who display exemplary on and off court behavior, while competing at a high level of squash. This year’s recipients were Reed Endresen of Rye, NY, and Logan Greer of Berwyn, PA.
Reed, a senior at the Rye Country Day School, was a member of the US Junior Men’s team in 2006 and will be attending Harvard University next year. Logan is a member of the 2007 US Junior Women’s team traveling to the Junior Women’s World Championships in Hong Kong this summer. Logan is graduating from Episcopal Academy in Merion, PA, this spring and will attend Yale University in the fall.
