The CHERRYPHARM Team USA Squash Tour, commonly known simply as the “selection tour,” provides a competitive environment for US Team and Squad members who play for valuable points to earn their way onto Team USA to represent the United States during international competitions. The next team competition, the Pan American Games, are the quadrennial, regional version of the Olympic Games and will be hosted in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, July 13-29, 2007.
To date this season, one men’s event, hosted by the Cincinnati Country Club in November, and one women’s event, hosted by Merion Cricket Club in Haverford, PA, this January, have taken place. The current men’s and women’s standings for the tour are as follows:
The season-long tour will culminate in a combined Men’s and Women’s Team Trial at the Union Boat and Harvard Clubs in Boston, MA, June 1-3, 2007 for the top point finishers. The balance of the Tour schedule includes stops in varied cities from Albany, Portland, St. Louis and Boca Raton.
